Hi everyone my name is Sam and i'm a 20 year old from Canada.
I enjoy almost everything geeky. And i'm really bad at typing out what I think. That is why this description is stupid. If you really want to know me just ask me a question its better that way. I don't know why i'm still typing. . . bye.

Yes. This is Duela Dent and she did a damn good job on this costume if you would know the character. Who’s the moron that started this nonsense post?

“trying too hard” for fucking what? who’s the goddamn COSPLAY police or the jury that grades all the cosplays? I am putting aside that whoever made this meme post fails so hard because they (I assume it’s a he, call it a hunch) don’t even know the actual character that took place in publications, but let’s say she really was a steampunk genderswap Joker with a Willy Wonka hat…
Her outfit looks marvelous, and she looks beautiful, and the crafting is amazing and masterful, colors are so well done, and I don’t think the OP would be capable of crafting themselves ANY cosplay attire that does not consist of paper towel role tubes and watercolor painted cardboard boxes.
“Trying too hard” fuck you. You are trying too fucking hard to insult people better than you are.

So in case the creator of this Image Macro still hasn’t realized how wrong they were, this is Ame-Comi Duela Dent:

She’s fucking spot on.

“Love the fetus, hate the child.”
America makes it near impossible for a woman to stay autonomous—hard to get family planning resources/make the choice of getting an abortion, and harder to get child care support after the baby is born. Leaving women destitute and dependants everywhere.

Look at Canada! Not only do we give almost a full year off, it can be either maternity or paternity. That’s right, daddy can stay home with the baby while the mother goes back to work. And the leave can be also be split between them. For example, the mother could take six months, and then the father could take the other six. Did I also mention that the parent on leave continues to receive pay and is guaranteed their job back?

#I think we make fun of Canadians so much because secretly we want to be them

when i was at my first high school there was this really religious girl who would tell you off if you swore or said stuff like ‘oh my god’ and then one day she wouldn’t stop correcting the science teacher and he just turned around and went “JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SOPHIE SHUT THE FUCK UP” and she freaked out and started praying and then the next week her parents tried to sue the teacher

Gwendoline Christie is the actress for Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones. She stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall and took swordfighting, horseriding, and stagefighting lessons for her part, as well as gaining 14 pounds of muscle, to accurately portray Brienne. (x)

She was also terrified of cutting her hair because she’d spent her life believing it was one of the only things that would make people see her as feminine despite her height. In an interview with TV Guide she said:

I struggled for a long time with [cutting] my hair, but then I’m grateful for the opportunity to realize that femininity doesn’t have to come from hair or any of those traditional female archetypes of appearance, So, that’s been exciting actually. I can’t speak with any kind of authority whatsoever because I’m just an actor and I only have my opinions, but I do think it’s really refreshing to have a woman depicted on a mainstream TV show that doesn’t obey typical aesthetics of females and the way they have been portrayed in the past. And I’m really excited to be portraying one of those women. And I hope that her popularity signals a greater expansion of people’s views about men and women and that gender types can be more flexible.
